According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Seton Hall is the favorite at home tonight, as the Pirates are getting odds of -11 points against Indiana. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 151 points. Tonight’s game takes place from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and will air live on FS1.
After a tough 90-69 loss at home to Indiana State to open the season, the Hoosiers bounced back with an 86-77 win over Howard this weekend. The Hoosiers have yet to cover the spread in either game this year. De’Ron Davis is putting up 15.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game to lead the team thus far while Aljami Durham is adding 11 points and 2.5 assists per contest.
Seton Hall opened the season with a 90-68 win over Farleigh Dickinson and then followed it up with a 75-65 win over Monmouth. The Pirates are also 0-2 against the spread this season. Seton Hall has had some nice balance, with four players averaging double figures in scoring right now. Angel Delgado is leading the team with 13.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while Myles Powell is adding 14 points and three assists per contest.
These two haven’t met since 1998, which was an 83-69 win over Indiana at home. The Hoosiers have struggled under new head coach Archie Miller and those two games they have played were at home. Now the Hoosiers have to go on the road to face Seton Hall. While the Pirates haven’t looked great either, the pressure seems to be on Indiana right now. The program name is carrying a lot of weight on the players and causing them to press early on. The public betting is behind Seton Hall at home and I am with them.
