Patrick McCaffery (personal) is a game-time decision for Thursday’s tilt with Michigan State, David Eickholt of 247Sports.com reports. McCaffery sat out each of Iowa’s last five games after announcing earlier this month that he was taking an indefinite leave of absence to address anxiety, but he rejoined the team approximately two weeks later. Over the past week, McCaffery has been working to regain fitness following his time away from the team, with head coach Fran McCaffery noting that the junior forward is “doing better.” Further clarity on whether McCaffery will be able to play Thursday may not be clear until the Hawkeyes begin warming up approximately 30 minutes before the 7 p.m ET tipoff.

Tyson Walker is nearing a full recovery from a recent stomach bug, Kyle Austin of MLive.com reports. Currently, Walker is suffering from a minor illness he had during Michigan State’s previous game at Indiana. Still, he was able to record eight points on 4-of-7 shooting and take on a relatively-full workload, logging 33 minutes. With that all in mind, his status does not appear to be in jeopardy for Thursday’s contest versus Iowa.
