IUPUI vs. Purdue College Basketball Predictions Against The Spread 12/10/17

IUPUI vs. Purdue Pick

Should No. 21 Purdue have any trouble at home when it takes on IUPUI today at 7PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Purdue is the clear favorite in this game, as the Boilermakers are getting odds of -29.5 points against IUPUI. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 148.5 points. Today’s game takes place from Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Indiana and will air live on the Big Ten Network.

Purdue has been busy this season, already playing in 11 games. The Boilermakers have won five straight and are 9-2 on the season. They are 7-3 against the spread, covering in four of five during this current win streak. Purdue is scoring 85.9 points per game this season while allowing 65.5 per game on defense. Carsen Edwards is averaging 16.1 points per game to lead the Boilermakers while Vincent Edwards is adding 13.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.

IUPUI is coming off an 82-81 loss to SIU-Edwardsville for its third straight loss. The Jaguars are currently in a three-game losing streak and sit at 2-5 on the season. They are just 2-4 against the spread as well. IUPUI is putting up 70.2 points per game while allowing 77.3 per contest. The Jags are being led by Aaron Brennan, who is averaging 14.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. Ron Patterson is adding 11.6 points per contest.

Bet on IUPUI vs. Purdue

Purdue has won two straight meetings IUPUI in recent years, splitting the spread. Both wins were by at least 20 points. The Jaguars don’t see to have the scoring or defense to pose much of a challenge today, so the key will be for Purdue to shoot well enough to cover the spread. They dominated Valpo in their last game and should be able to do the same today. The public betting is backing IUPUI slightly, due to the large spread, but I think the Boilers find a way to cover.
