Kansas Jayhawks DFS Spin
Jalen Wilson recorded 38 points (12-25 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 11-12 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 45 minutes during Tuesday’s 83-82 OT loss to Kansas State. Wilson played every single minute in this extended overtime loss to the in-state rival Wildcats. The 6-foot-8 junior has not shot particularly well overall while taking a career-high 17.1 field-goal attempts per game this season, though he answered the bell after fellow starters Kevin McCullar and K.J. Adams both fouled out during regulation. This was also Wilson’s third time with at least 29 points in a game this season, and he’s now averaged 20.8 points and 8.9 rebounds across 18 starts in 2022-23. Therefore, he should still probably be considered the top fantasy player in the Big 12 and one of the best in college basketball overall.
Baylor Bears DFS Spin
LJ Cryer supplied 18 points (5-7 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 4-7 FT), four rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes during Tuesday’s 81-74 win over Texas Tech. Cryer posted his fourth double-digit scoring outing across his five appearances during Big 12 play. The 6-foot-1 junior has also been on a hot streak from deep, hitting all but one of his nine three-point tries across the past two games. Cryer now ranks third on the team in points per game (14.2) behind frontcourt-mates Keyonte George (17.7) and Adam Flagler (16.0). Cryer does lead this trio in field-goal percentage (46.9), and he narrowly sits third in field-goal attempts (10.8) behind George (13.3) and Flagler (11.8). However, he doesn’t provide as much value on the boards (2.2) or as an offensive distributor (2.1 assists), making his fantasy value strictly contingent on scoring moving forward.
