Duke
Duke is the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament and the top seed out of the East Region. The Blue Devils come into the tournament with a 29-5 record while going 14-4 in the ACC. Duke did lose most of their games without freshman phenom Zion Williamson, which factored into their seeding. Duke is looking to win its sixth NCAA Tournament.
Gonzaga
Gonzaga is the No. 1 seed out of the West Region and listed as the fourth overall seed. The Bulldogs went 30-3 this season with a 16-0 record in the West Coast Conference. Zaga did suffer a loss in the WCC Tournament final last week. The Zags have never won the NCAA Tournament, but were the runner-up in 2017.
College Basketball Futures Odds
Virginia
Virginia is the No. 1 seed in the South Region. That is somewhat surprising after being the first No. 1 seed to lose to a No. 16 seed last season. The Cavs were 29-3 this season and 16-2 in the ACC. They finished tied for the regular-season title with North Carolina. Virginia has never won the NCAA Tournament in program history, last reaching the Final Four in 1984.
Michigan
Michigan is the outlier in the odds, as the Wolverines are a No. 2 seed in the West with Gonzaga, and the 8th overall seed in the entire tournament. Yet, Michigan was the runner-up last year after not having a tremendous regular season. This year, Michigan was 28-6 on the season and 15-5 in the Big Ten. The Wolverines were third in the Big Ten during the regular season. They are looking to win their first NCAA Tournament since 1989.
