After disappointing NCAA Tournament runs in recent years, will the Arizona Wildcats have what it takes to put things together this season?
According to the latest oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Arizona is currently listed with 10/1 odds to win the NCAA Tournament in the 2017-18 season. Duke is the current clear favorite with 4/1 odds while Kentucky has 10/1 odds and Michigan State has 12/1 odds.

The Wildcats are coming off a 32-5 record last season for its third season with at least 32 wins over the last four years. Still, the Wildcats were eliminated in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament by 11th-seeded Xavier. Sean Miller has coached this team for right seasons and has an impressive 220-66 record with the program, but he has yet to crack the Final Four. Miller has led Arizona to the Elite Eight three times, last doing so in 2015, but he can’t seem to get his team to break through to the Final Four.

From last season, Arizona lost a pair of freshman to the NBA Draft in Kobi Simmons and Lauri Markkanen. Markkanen was taken seventh overall while Simmons was undrafted. Markkanen accounted for 15.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game while Simmons averaged 8.7 points per contest. Kadeem Allen, who averaged 9.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3 assists per game, graduated. This year’s team will be led by Allonzo Trier, a junior that averaged 17.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game as a sophomore. Arizona adds an impressive recruiting class thank ranked third nationally across the board. Leading the group is a pair of 5-star players in center DeAndre Dayton and swing man Emmanuel Akot.
