The point spread for this game has not moved off the original number of 3.5 and the total has also stayed put at 144.

PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION

As of Sunday morning, 64% of the betting tickets that were wagered at online sportsbooks were on the Boilermakers to cover the spread. Meanwhile, 69% of the betting tickets wagered online are on the over.

KEY INJURIES

Isaac Hayes (elbow) is doubtful to play for the Boilermakers while Paul Jorgensen (ankle) is questionable for the Bulldogs.

BETTING STRATEGY

Butler senior forward Kelan Martin is one of two Big East players averaging 20 points per game and he’s going to be a problem for the Boilermakers. The same can be said on the other side, only swap out Martin’s name for Carsen Edwards, as he’s going to be a challenge for Butler to defend. Purdue shoots 42 percent from behind the 3-point line, which is the highest percentage in the Big Ten and second in the nation to only William & Mary. The over is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams and with how tight this game could be down the stretch, I like the over to hit when the free throws start to add up.
