When it comes to the public betting for this game, the wagers are narrowly siding with North Carolina. The Tar Heels are currently getting 51 percent of the bets as a 5-point favorite against the Ducks.

Both teams have a winning record against the spread this season, with Oregon actually being slightly better at 21-15-1 compared to UNC’s 19-15-3. The Tar Heels are 2-1-1 against the spread in the tournament right now, but just 3-3-2 ATS in their last eight. UNC hasn’t been able to pull away from the really top teams in recent games, beating Kentucky by just two and losing to Duke by 10 in the ACC Tournament as a 4-point favorite.

Bet on March Madness

Oregon is 2-1-1 ATS in the NCAA Tournament as well, covering in the lone games as an underdog, in a 74-60 win over Kansas in the regional final. The Ducks looked like a great team, which is why they could be getting 49 percent of the bets. However, Oregon didn’t really dominate teams like Iona, Rhode Island and Michigan prior to that. It’s unclear if Oregon was that great last weekend or if Kansas just had a really bad night.
