MSU adds Cleveland St. transfer
EAST LANSING, MI (TheSpread) – Michigan State added another transfer to its team this week, landing Cleveland State’s Bryn Forbes.
Forbes is a Michigan native that had spent two seasons with Cleveland State, averaging 15.6 points per game last season as a sophomore. Forbes was looking to move closer to home for family reasons and felt the Spartans were the best option.
While it is likely Forbes will have to sit out next season, he is looking into getting hardship clearance from the NCAA because of the family issues that are bringing him closer to home. Should the NCAA grant him the hardship, he would be eligible to play next season for Michigan State, which is in need of depth.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan State has been given 25/1 odds to win the NCAA Tournament next season. Oddsmakers see Kentucky as the favorite with 5/1 odds while Arizona, Duke, North Carolina and Wisconsin each have 12/1 odds.
