Spartans land Harris from WVU
EAST LANSING, MI (TheSpread) – The Michigan State Spartans landed one of the best transfers in the country on Monday, scoring Eron Harris from West Virginia.
Harris is a 6-3 guard that had a great freshman season for the Mountaineers, averaging 17.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. However, he apparently didn’t mesh well with Bob Huggins and elected to leave WVU for Michigan State, where he will have to sit out next season.
The Spartans face an uphill climb next season due to the loss of talents like Adreian Payne, Garry Harris and Keith Appling, but MSU is building a strong incoming class for the 2015-16 season with the inclusion of Harris.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan State has been given 25/1 odds to win the NCAA Tournament next season.. Oddsmakers see Kentucky as the favorite with 5/1 odds while Duke is the next favorite at 10/1.
