According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Terps are 9-point home favorites over the Wolverines while the over/under currently sits at 140 points.
Michigan enters play with a 19-8 record and is 13-12 against spread but has failed to cover the number in seven of its last 10 games. Maryland, meanwhile, is 22-5 overall and 12-14 at the betting window, including a 4-5-1 ATS mark over its last 10 games.
Prediction
There’s no excuse for Maryland to lose to a Minnesota team that was 0-13 in Big Ten play before pulling off the upset on Thursday night. That said, Diamond Stone was suspended for that game due to an incident against Wisconsin in Maryland’s previous game. With Stone (12.8 points and 5.4 rebounds in 21.7 minutes per game) back today against Michigan, the Terps will at full strength again.
Maryland should be plenty focused today. Not only are the Terps coming off back-to-back losses but this is also a revenge spot after the Wolverines upset Maryland earlier this year in Ann Arbor. Michigan is just 2-5 against the spread in its last seven games, all coming against Big Ten opponents.
