The Bulldogs covered in the loss and are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games. The Bulldogs are 21-8 on the season, 9-7 in the SEC, 5-4 on the road, 15-14 against the spread and 15-14 with the under.

Tennessee coming off big win
Tennessee is coming off a 71-52 win at home over Kentucky for one of its best wins of the season. The Vols snapped a five-game losing streak at the betting window in the win as well. Tennessee is now 26-3 on the season, 14-2 in the SEC, 17-0 at home, 14-13-1 against the spread and 15-13 with the over.

College Basketball Betting Trends
Mississippi State
The Bulldogs have covered the spread in five of their last six SEC games, but just 2-6 ATS in their last eight Tuesday games.
Tennessee
The Vols are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six SEC games and 1-4 ATS in their last five against winning teams.
Prediction:
Tennessee had motivation to play well against Kentucky and the Vols had one of their best showings of the season. I can see a letdown tonight against a Mississippi State team it is heavily favored against. The Vols have struggled to cover prior to playing Kentucky while Mississippi State has been playing some of its best basketball right now. I think the Bulldogs have more to prove tonight and will give Tennessee a hard time.
