Missouri Tigers

The Tigers bounced back from their 80-77 loss to Illinois with an 82-65 win over Alabama State. It was a balanced attack for Missouri, with Tamar Bates leading the team scoring 16 points. Mark Mitchell added 14 points on 5 of 6 from the field and Trent Price and Tony Perkins each finished with 12 points. On top of the loss to Illinois, Missouri also picked up a loss to Memphis 83-75 to start the season. However the Tigers picked up a big 76-67 win over the then top ranked Kansas Jayhawks.

Auburn Tigers

Auburn has been on a mission since their 84-78 loss to Auburn, as they have won 5 straight games by 18+ points. The latest was an 87-58 win over Monmouth. Johni Broome finished with a 14 point 11 rebound double-double. Dylan Cardwell had a 12 point 11 rebound double-double. Chad Baker-mazara added 13 points. The Tigers finished with 16 offensive rebounds and only turned the ball over 7 times. Prior to this game, Auburn took down the 16th ranked Purdue Boilermakers 87-69. They also have wins over ranked teams in UNC, Iowa State, and Houston.

Missouri is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games

The OVER is 3-1 in Missouri’s last 4 games

Auburn is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games

The OVER is 7-3 in Auburn’s last 10 games

Missouri vs. Auburn Prediction:

Take Auburn to cover the big spread at home on Saturday evening. It’s hard to believe that a team that beat a number one ranked school could be 18.5 point dogs, but this Auburn team is a different beast. Auburn has won 5 straight games by 18+ points. They are averaging 92.6 points per game over that stretch. The Tigers (Auburn) allow 64.8 points per game, but have only allowed over 60 in just one of the last 5 games. Missouri ranks 283rd in opponent offensive rebounds per game, so Auburn should have plenty of second chance opportunities. In the last two matchups between these two schools, Auburn won by 27 and 33 points. I think they continue their dominating run with a big win at home on Saturday.

Missouri vs. Auburn Prediction: Auburn -18.5
