Ohio State vs. Indiana Pick
Can No. 16 Ohio State go on the road and pick up a win over upset-minded Indiana tonight at 8PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Ohio State is the slight favorite on the road, as the Buckeyes are getting odds of -1.5 points against Indiana. The over/under total for the game is listed at 137 points. Tonight’s game takes place from Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana and will air live on FS1.
Ohio State snapped a two-game losing streak this week with a 79-52 win over Rutgers at home. The Buckeyes are 23-7 overall, 14-3 in the Big Ten and 15-13 against the spread. OSU is averaging 75.9 points per game on offense while allowing 66.2 per contest on defense. Keita Bates-Diop is leading Ohio State with 19 points and 8.7 rebounds per game while Jae’Sean Tate is adding 12.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest.
Indiana is coming off a 66-57 loss at Nebraska to snap a four-game win streak. The Hoosiers are 16-13 overall, 9-8 in the Big Ten and 17-12 against the spread. IU is putting up 71.8 points per game on offense while allowing 69.7 per game on defense. Juwan Morgan has been leading Indiana with 16.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while Robert Johnson is adding 14 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest.
Ohio State won the first meeting this season on Jan. 30. It was a 71-56 win at home for the Buckeyes. Despite some rough outings on the road, Indiana has been a pretty good home team, going 12-5 straight up and against the spread on their home. Ohio State has lost its last two on the road, but covered and won all five road games prior to that. Ohio State seemed to get back on track with its win over Rutgers. I think OSU is the better team here. While IU is good at home, I think the Buckeyes have enough to beat them. The spread is very small, so I will take my chances on the Buckeyes. The public betting is strongly with Ohio State as well.
