Game Snapshot
NCAA Tournament South Region: (875) Syracuse vs. (876) TCU
Friday, March 16, 2018
Location: Little Caesars Arena, Detroit, Michigan
TV: CBS, 9:40PM ET
Who Oddsmakers Like: TCU. According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Horned Frogs are the slight favorite in this game, as TCU is getting odds of -5 points against Syracuse. The spread actually opened with TCU as just a 3-point favorite, but it has jumped up two points over the last few days. The over/under total sits at 136.5 points after it opened at 137 points.
Public Betting Prediction: Syracuse. As of Friday afternoon, the Orange are getting 57 percent of the wagers for this game, getting a few points form TCU.
Injury Report: Both teams have some names on the injury report that were lingering from earlier in the season. Howard Washington has been out for Syracuse since February due to a leg injury. He averaged just 1 point per game. TCU has had some bigger injuries as Jaylen Fisher (knee) and RJ Nembhard (ankle) are both out. Nembhard wasn’t much of a factor, but Fisher averaged 12.3 points and 5.4 assists per game and was a veteran leader for the Horned Frogs.

Who We Like: TCU has had its moments this season, but the loss of Fisher has turned the Horned Frogs into a bit of a dud. They are just 5-5 in their last 10, with the five wins coming against the latter half of the Big 12 standings. A team that averaged over 80 points per game for the season, TCU is putting up just 75 per game over its last five. Syracuse is certainly a streaky team as well, but the Orange have won and covered in three of their last four and were able to grind out a win over Arizona State on Wednesday. I like the Orange to give this short-handed TCU team all it can handle. I think Cuse can win outright and I’ll gladly take the points.
