PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
As of Friday morning, 58% of betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Boilermakers to cover the point spread this afternoon. Meanwhile, 51% of the betting tickets are on the over.
KEY INJURIES
CS Fullerton is relatively healthy and does not have a player listed on its injury report ahead of today’s game. Purdue, meanwhile, will not have Eden Ewing (disciplinary), who is out for the year.
BETTING STRATEGIES
It’s highly unlikely that Purdue falls this afternoon but covering the spread could be an issue against a CS Fullerton squad that ended the season 20-11, its best record since going 21-10 in the 2011-12 season. Kyle Allman Jr. is one to watch, as he averages 19.4 points per game, most in the Big West. That PPG average is on pace to be the most by a Titans’ player since Josh Akognon in 2008-09 (23.9 PPG).
The Boilermakers are just 5-4 over their last nine games after starting the season 23-2. Five of their six losses this season came in separate losing streaks, including a three-game losing streak from February 7 through February 15. Granted, their offense has been much better of late, but this team is streaky. I don’t trust them to cover such a high number.
