NCAA Predictions: Will Kansas protect home court vs. West Virginia? 2/17/18

College Basketball Predictions: Will Kansas State cover at West Virginia? College Basketball Predictions: Will Kansas State cover at West Virginia?

West Virginia vs. Kansas Pick

Is betting on the 13th-ranked Kansas Jayhawks at home going to be profitable when they take on the 20th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers at 6PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Jayhawks are listed as a 3-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 152.5 points. Kansas opened as a 4-point fave, while the total remains where it opened.

Bet Today’s NCAA Action

As of Saturday afternoon, 66 percent of public bets have come in on Kansas. Online wager info also shows 56 percent of bets placed on the over.

The first meeting between these two squads transpired last month with the Jayhawks getting the best of a 71-66 decision at West Virginia. Kansas has won the last two meetings, winning 84-80 in overtime at home last season. The Jayhawks are 6-4 straight up, but the Mountaineers are 6-4 ATS in the last 10 meetings. The over-under is an even 5-5.

West Virginia has won three of its last four games as it has started to turn things around after a rough stretch where it lost five of six including the game at Kansas. The Mountaineers are 5-5 ATS in their last 10 games, while the over-under is 5-5. As for Kansas, it has only won for of its last seven straight up. The Jayhawks are 3-6-1 ATS in their last 10, while the under is 7-3.

Kansss has had some seasons where it has been unbeatable at home, but there has been some vulnerability this year with an 11-3 straight up record. The spread shows this game should remain close throughout and with the way West Virginia has looked lately, I’m going to take my chances on the underdog to create some havoc with their pressing style of play and upset the Jayhawks.

NCAA DAILY PREDICTION: WEST VIRGINIA +4
