Sunday’s Big Ten Predictions
The Big Ten schedule for Sunday is pretty full, with many of the top teams in action. Who should you wager on in the conference today?
No. 2 Michigan State at Wisconsin, 1PM ET (CBS)
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Michigan State is the favorite on the road, as the Spartans are getting odds of -8 points against Wisconsin. It’s been another interesting week for the Spartans. Despite winning a share of the Big Ten, Yahoo! released a report indicating Miles Bridges’ mother accepted $400 from an agent. Bridges will play, but it’s another distraction for the Spartans. While they could use this as motivation, MSU has struggled on the road as is. They are just 2-5 against the spread away from East Lansing and they are facing a Wisconsin team that has won three straight and covered in five of its last six. I will take the Badgers and the points. BIG TEN PREDICTIONS: WISCONSIN +8

Minnesota at No. 9 Purdue, 4PM ET (FS1)
Purdue has gotten back on track, but now is being asked to cover a lofty spread at home. Oddsmakers are listing Purdue as a 17.5-point favorite against the Gophers. Despite winning its last two, the Boilermakers haven’t covered. They are 0-8-1 against the spread in their last nine games, four of which have been at home. Despite that, Minnesota is a bad team. Purdue already won 81-47 at Minnesota earlier this season and the Gophers are 3-7 ATS on the road. I don’t love it, but I will take Purdue at home. BIG TEN PREDICTIONS: PURDUE -17.5

Penn State at Nebraska, 5:15PM ET (Big Ten Network)
This game is quietly a big one in the conference, as Nebraska is 12-5 in the Big Ten while Penn State is 9-8. Oddsmakers aren’t giving the Huskers much respect, as they are listed with odds of just -1 point against Penn State. Nebraska has been a very good team at home, going 15-1 overall and 12-2 against the spread. While I like what Penn State is doing this season, the Nittany Lions are just 4-6 on the road. People aren’t buying Nebraska, but I will purchase what the Huskers are selling at home. BIG TEN PREDICTIONS: NEBRASKA -1
