NCAA Teaser Predictions: Purdue, Oregon State & Arizona Wise Bets? 2/15/18

Thursday’s Teaser Prediction

We missed one game in our NBA teaser last night but we’ll try again with a trio of college basketball games on Thursday.

How we did yesterday: I hit two teams on the three-teamer but the one that let me down was the defending champs. The Pelicans cruised to a 139-117 victory as a 5.5-point home favorite versus the Lakers and the Clippers beat the Celtics outright as a 5-point underdog in Boston. But the final game of the NBA slate also was my undoing, as I had the Warriors -2 in my teaser but they fell 123-117 to the Blazers in Portland.

Here’s my teaser attempt for Thursday’s college hoops slate:

Purdue at Wisconsin, 7:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Boilermakers are 10.5-point road favorites to beat the Badgers tonight in Madison so with our teaser, we can knock Purdue down to 6.5. The Boilermakers are coming off back-to-back narrow losses to Michigan State and Ohio State so I’m expecting Purdue’s best effort tonight against a Wisconsin squad that is just 2-8 over its last 10 games. The kicker: Purdue is 4-0 against the spread in its last four games against Wisconsin and 4-1 at the betting window in its last five games in Madison.

Teaser Prediction 1: Purdue -6.5

Bet Tonight’s College Hoops Action

Arizona at Arizona State, 9:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

As I noted in my predictions piece earlier today, I love Arizona in this matchup. Arizona State doesn’t have an answer for Deandre Ayton, who scored 23 points and nabbed 19 rebounds in the first meeting between these two teams. Neither team is playing great defense at the moment, although the Wildcats have shown some improvement. Finally, while only 52% of the betting tickets are on Arizona to cover, the line has gone from ASU -1 to Sun Devils +1, indicating some sharp play on the Wildcats.

Teaser Prediction 2: Arizona -3

Oregon State at UCLA, 11:00 p.m. ET, FS1

Just like last night, I’ll be up late to see if my teaser pays off. The Beavers haven’t won on the road this season and the Bruins are an impressive 12-2 at home. That said, even though nearly 80% of the betting tickets wagered on tonight’s game are on the Bruins to cover the spread, the line has gone from UCLA -8.5 down to -6.5. Again, this is an indication of sharp play on Oregon State. At +12.5, I like the value that comes with a Beavers team that is 5-1 against the spread in its last six games at UCLA and a perfect 4-0 ATS in its last four games versus the Bruins overall.

Teaser Prediction 3: Oregon State +12.5
