Lobos blast Cowboys
New Mexico cruised to a 97-68 home win Saturday over Wyoming to improve to 17-8 overall and 6-6 in conference action. The Lobos led 40-29 at halftime and continued to pad the lead after the break. Corey Manigault led New Mexico with 28 points on 8-of-14 shooting including 2-of-4 from 3-point distance plus 10-of-11 at the free throw line. He also recorded nine rebounds, four assists and three steals. Zane Martin tallied 23 points, five boards, five assists and three steals. Vance Jackson had 20 points, three caroms and three assists. Keith McGee added 13 points and six rebounds off the bench.
Aztecs ease past Falcons
San Diego State earned an 89-74 win Saturday night at Air Force to move to 24-0 overall and 13-0 in conference play. The Aztecs led 41-34 at halftime and continued to pull away in the second half. K.J. Feagin led SDSU with 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting including 5-of-7 from 3-point range plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also accounted for three assists and two rebounds. Jordan Schakel tallied 18 points and four boards. Malachi Flynn accumulated 17 points, eight caroms and seven assists. Matt Mitchell added 16 points, four rebounds and three dimes.
