North Carolina now -7 vs. Syracuse with Kennedy Meeks expected to return

Meeks expected to play, UNC-Cuse line climbs

Roy Williams expects junior Kennedy Meeks to return to the UNC starting lineup for Saturday’s matchup versus Syracuse, which has caused the line to move.

Meeks has missed the passed seven games due to a bruised left knee but practiced Wednesday and Thursday. While his participation was limited, Williams said that he “fully expects” the junior to play after being tested in practice on Friday.

Meeks’ potential availability has caused oddsmakers to adjust the line in tonight’s game at the Carrier Dome. After opening as a 5.5-point favorite, the Tar Heels are now -7 to beat the Orange according to oddsmakers from online sports book RealBet.eu. The total hasn’t changed, however, as it remains listed at 153.5 (which was the opening number).

UNC is 14-2 on the year but 7-8 against the spread in its 15 lined games this season. Syracuse enters play tonight with a 10-6 record and is 6-9 at the betting window.
