Wildcats snap 12-game losing skid

Northwestern got back on the winning side of the ledger Sunday afternoon at Nebraska with an 81-76 overtime victory to improve to 7-21 overall and 2-16 in Big Ten Conference play. The Wildcats were outscored 33-30 in the second half, but rebounded to outscore the Cornhuskers 14-9 in the extra session. Miller Kopp paced Northwestern with 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting including 3-of-7 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also accounted for three rebounds and two steals. Boo Buie tallied seven assists, four steals and three boards. Pat Spencer accounted for 12 points, six caroms and three assists. Ryan Young added 10 points and five rebounds.

Badgers rally past Golden Gophers

Wisconsin secured a 71-69 home win Sunday night over Minnesota to move to 19-10 overall and 12-6 in conference action. The Badgers led 31-28 at halftime before losing the lead late, but ultimately found a path to the victory. Brad Davison led Wisconsin with 20 points on 6-of-13 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point range plus 6-of-7 at the charity stripe. He also tallied seven rebounds and five assists. Brevin Pritzl contributed 15 points and three boards. Aleem Ford had 10 points and six caroms. Micah Potter added 10 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Northwestern

The Wildcats are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games as a road underdog. Northwestern is 13-27-1 ATS in its last 41 games overall.

Wisconsin

The Badgers are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games overall. Wisconsin is 0-5 ATS in its last five Wednesday games.

Prediction:

The Badgers have only lost one game at home this season and that was a 71-70 defeat against a much better Northwestern team back in January. Considering the Wildcats are brutal and Wisconsin has a lot on the line here, I see a blowout in the cards. Look for a methodical destruction as the Badgers slowly but surely pull away.
