Oklahoma Game Notes
Oklahoma’s best guard is senior Grant Sherfield. The 6’2” Fort Worth, Texas native is averaging 17.1 points per game and is shooting a scorching 55.6% from three-point range. Both figures lead the team. If that wasn’t enough, Grant Sherfield also leads the Sooners in minutes per game (33.9) and assists per game (4.4). Oklahoma will need his production to stay competitive with Arkansas this weekend.
The Sooners’ best big man is senior forward Tanner Groves. Groves is second on the club in scoring with 11.1 points per game and leads Oklahoma in rebounding with 6.9 per game. Groves is actually shooting a better percentage from the field (59.1) than from the free throw line (58.3) this season. He’ll likely need to hit double figures for the Sooners to cover on Saturday.
Arkansas Game Notes
Arkansas toppled UNC-Greensboro 65-58 on Tuesday. But the big story was the loss of star forward Trevon Brazile. Brazile tore his ACL in Tuesday’s game and will be out for the remainder of the season. He was leading the team in rebounds and blocked shots per game as well as shooting 37.9% from deep. Senior forward Makhi Mitchell will likely see an increased role due to Brazile’s extended absence.
Arkansas’s leading scorer is junior guard Ricky Council IV. The Wichita State transfer is averaging 18.4 points per game on an efficient field goal percentage of 50.8. He’s poured in at least 15 points in every game but one this season, and the Razorbacks will probably need his scoring with Trevon Brazile out for this game and the rest of the year.
Oklahoma vs. Arkansas CBB Betting Trends

Oklahoma vs. Arkansas CBB Prediction:
The Razorbacks do it with defense. Arkansas is ranked 8th in the country in defensive efficiency and they’re holding their opponents to only 61.9 points per game, which ranks 37th in the country out of 363 Division I teams. If that’s not enough, Arkansas is 15th in the country with an average scoring margin of +16.5 points per game. I don’t think it will matter that this game is in Tulsa because I think Arkansas is clearly better than Oklahoma. I’ll lay the points with the Razorbacks.
