The Big 12 rivals will tip-off at 4:00PM ET on ESPN and according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Mountaineers are now 4-point home favorites over the Sooners. The spread opened with WVU as a 2.5-point favorite but the number has climbed, while the total has stayed steady at 152 points.
Oklahoma enters play today with a 20-5 record and but is just 10-13 against the spread, including a 3-7 ATS mark over its last 10 games. West Virginia, meanwhile, is 20-6 on the year and 14-9 against the number, including 6-4 ATS over its last 10 games.
Prediction
The Sooners’ field-goal percentage over their last four games is just 38.5 percent and they were 0-for-9 from 3-point range in the second half of their loss to Texas Tech on Wednesday. Making matters worse, Oklahoma’s bench has been outscored 37-15 in the team’s two losses last week.
The Mountaineers have injury question marks, however. Jaysean Paige is questionable but reportedly will play today, while Daxter Miles will be a game-time decision. But even if Paige suits up, how effective will he be on that injured ankle?
Even with its struggles lately, the value is seemingly with taking the points and betting on Buddy Hield rebounding from one of his worst performance of the season.
