Ducks fall on road
Oregon lost by a score of 70-60 last Saturday at Stanford to drop to 18-5 overall and 7-3 in Pac-12 Conference play. The Ducks were outscored 42-24 in the second half after leading by eight at the break. Will Richardson led Oregon with 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point distance plus 4-of-5 at the free throw line. He also notched three steals. Payton Pritchard contributed 16 points, four assists and three rebounds. Chris Duarte added 14 points and eight boards.
Beavers edged by Bears
Oregon State fell 69-67 last Saturday afternoon at California to fall to 13-9 overall and 3-7 in conference play. The Beavers were outscored 39-35 in the second half after leading by two at the break. Tres Tinkle led OSU with 19 points on 6-of-15 shooting including 1-of-6 from 3-point range plus 6-of-8 at the charity stripe. He also registered seven rebounds and two assists. Alfred Hollins added 14 points in 24 minutes of action.
College Basketball Betting Trends
Oregon
The Ducks are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games. Oregon is 13-5 ATS in its last 18 road games.
Oregon State
The Beavers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog. The home team is 9-4-1 ATS in its last 14 meetings.
Prediction:
The Beavers have lost five of their last six games with a decent win against Stanford on the road surrounded by several poor performances coupled with a couple close losses to teams outside the top 100. Oregon State crushed Oregon to the tune of 72-57 at home last season, but I think the Ducks will come in tonight better-equipped to avoid that fate again. The Beavers struggle defensively and Oregon is ranked seventh nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency. Look for the visitors to have their way on the offensive end and put OSU away in the second half.
