Pickett was able to take and make more shots as he scored over 20 points for the first time in five games. Seeing as he’s also among the conference’s top-10 in rebounds and a leader in assists, Pickett’s lack of consistency in scoring isn’t always a major issue as long as he’s not turning over the ball.

Zach Edey finished with a career-high 38 points (15-24 FG, 8-12 FT) to go with 13 rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block across 32 minutes in Sunday’s 77-61 win over Michigan State. Edey’s 38-point outburst bested his previous career high of 32, which he also established in Purdue’s road win over Michigan State back on Jan. 16. In addition to dominating the Spartans on the interior, Edey also made a rare impact in defending the passing lanes on the other side of the ball. The three steals were also a career high and matched Edey’s output from his prior 20 appearances this season combined.
