Pittsburgh vs. Clemson College Basketball Predictions 2/8/18

Pittsburgh vs. Clemson Pick

Can No. 16 Clemson pick up a dominant win at home tonight when the Tigers play host to Pittsburgh at 7PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Clemson is favored at home tonight, as the Tigers are getting odds of -18.5 points against Pittsburgh. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 132 points. Tonight’s game takes place from Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina and will air live on the ACC Network.

Clemson has won three straight coming into tonight’s game. The Tigers just beat Wake Forest on the road this past weekend to move to move to 19-4 overall. Clemson is also 8-3 in the ACC and 12-8 against the spread. The Tigers are averaging 75.1 points per game on offense while allowing 65.9 per contest. Marcquise Reed is averaging 15.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game to lead Clemson while Gabe DeVoe is putting up 13 points per game. The team lost Donte Grantham to a season-ending knee injury weeks ago. He averaged 14.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.

Pitt is winless in ACC play, going 0-11 so far after a 96-65 loss at North Carolina. The Panthers are now 8-16 overall and 11-8 against the spread. Pittsburgh is scoring just 63.8 points per game on offense while allowing 71.3 per contest. Jared Wilson-Frame is averaging 13 points and 3.7 rebounds per game to lead Pitt while Marcus Carr is adding 11 points and 4.3 assists per contest.

Bet on Pittsburgh vs. Clemson

Clemson has won three straight meetings with Pittsburgh, covering the spread in all three wins. The Tigers have also covered in three straight at home, beating the likes of North Carolina and Miami. Pittsburgh has been able to cover in five of its last six, but the Panthers just don’t have the athletes to compete with Clemson. Their lack of offense will keep it from being able to make this game competitive. The public betting is backing Pittsburgh, but I will take Clemson at home.
