Pittsburgh vs. Duke College Basketball Predictions Against The Spread

Pittsburgh vs. Duke Pick

Will No. 5 Duke dominate Pittsburgh when the two ACC foes meet up later today at 4PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Duke is the heavy favorite in this game, as the Blue Devils are getting odds of -28.5 points against Pittsburgh. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 153 points. Today’s game will take place from Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina and air live on the ACC Network.

Pitt has lost six straight games coming into today’s contest, all of which have been by at least 14 points. The Panthers are 8-11 overall, 0-6 in the ACC and 7-7 against the spread. Pittsburgh is averaging just 64.8 points per game on offense while allowing 70.2 per contest on defense. Pitt lost its double-double man of Ryan Luther to a season-ending injury. Jared Wilson-Frame is now the team leader with 12.5 points per game.

Duke is coming off an 83-75 win at Miami earlier in the week for its third straight victory. The Blue Devils are now 16-2 overall and 4-2 in the ACC. They also are 11-5 against the spread. Duke is putting up 92.7 points per game on offense this year while allowing 73.8 per contest on defense. Marvin Bagley III is averaging 22 points and 11.7 rebounds per game to lead Duke, but he is questionable for today’s game due to a shoulder injury. Grayson Allen is adding 15 points and 4.4 assists per contest.

Bet on Pittsburgh vs. Duke

Duke has won four of its last five meetings with Pittsburgh, including an 87-52 win at Pitt just 10 days ago. The Blue Devils were able to dominate Pitt on the road and should be able to do the same at home, with or without Bagley. Pitt doesn’t have much to bring to the court without its top player and nobody has been able to step up in Luther’s place. The public betting is strong with Duke as well today.

CBB DAILY PREDICTION: DUKE -28.5
