According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Providence is favored at home in this game, as the Friars are getting odds of -4 points against Georgetown. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 144 points.
Providence (18-7, 6-6 Big East) is in need of a win, as the Friars have lost three straight to fall 5 games behind Villanova in the Big East. However, Providence has some optimism about today as it faces a Georgetown team (14-11, 7-5) that it has had no trouble with in recent years.
The Friars have won their last three meetings with Georgetown and covered the spread in all three meetings. Providence has also won and covered in the last two home games against the Hoyas. These two already met on Jan. 30 with Providence getting a 73-69 win on the road. Providence got to the line 33 times in the win and used a 38-28 first half to propel it to a win despite being a 2.5-point underdog.
