Daryl Banks closed Friday’s 67-64 win over Purdue with 14 points (6-14 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and one block across 28 minutes. Banks was the go-to scorer for the Peacocks on a night where they shared the ball really well. His night could have been much better had he made even one of his four misses from long range. But even with his struggle from beyond the arch, the team was able to overcome the Boilermakers. It’s a good sign that even on a tough shooting day Banks is still able to put up a high amount of points, so he would probably be the best bet to be the Peacocks leading scorer in their date with UNC in the next round.
North Carolina Tar Heels DFS Snapshot
Armando Bacot posted 15 points (4-10 FG, 7-15 FT), 16 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal in 40 minutes during Saturday’s 93-86 OT victory over Baylor. Bacot didn’t post the same scoring figures he usually delivers on a regular basis, but it’s worth noting the Tar Heels had to deal with one of the best teams in the nation. Even if he took a backseat in scoring for the second game in a row, Bacot now has four straight games with a double-double and has reached that feat in eight of his last nine contests.
