SEC Championship Pick

Who will walk away with the SEC Tournament Championship on Sunday, March 11, 2018 when Tennessee faces Kentucky at 1PM ET?

823 Kentucky even vs. 824 Tennessee

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, this game is considered even, with neither Tennessee nor Kentucky giving any points to the other. Today’s championship game takes place from Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri and will air live on ESPN.

Kentucky has picked up wins over Georgia and Alabama this weekend to reach the SEC final. The Wildcats have now won six of their last seven, covering the spread in all six wins. Kentucky is 23-10 on the season, 3-2 on a neutral floor and 16-17 against the spread. UK is putting up 76.7 points per game this season while allowing 70.2 per contest. Kevin Knox has been leading the team with 15.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is adding 13.4 points and 5.1 assists per contest.

Tennessee has defeated Mississippi State and Arkansas to reach the SEC Championship. The Vols are on a 6-game winning streak right now while going 4-2 against the spread in those six games. Tennessee is 25-7 overall, 4-1 on a neutral floor and 18-12 against the spread. Tennessee is averaging 74.3 points per game this season while allowing 66.1 per contest. Grant Williams is averaging 15.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game to lead the team while Admiral Schofield is adding 13.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Bet on College Basketball for Sunday, March 11, 2018

Tennessee won its two meetings with Kentucky this season and the Vols have covered the spread in five of their last six with the Wildcats. The Tennessee defense has been able to limit Kentucky to just 65 points or less in both games this season. While Kentucky has looked good this week, the Wildcats have beaten up on two teams ranked seeded ninth and 12th. Tennessee has had to beat two teams better than a ninth seed. Kentucky has struggled with the better teams in the conference and I think those struggles continue today. The public betting is backing Kentucky, but I like the Vols to win.
