Florida vs. Texas A&M Pick

Can No. 11 Texas A&M pick up a key win at home tonight when the Aggies play host to Florida at 9PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Texas A&M is the slight favorite at home, as the Aggies are getting odds of -3 points against Florida. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 144.5 points. Tonight’s game takes place from Reed Arena in College Station, Texas and will air live on ESPN2.

Florida is on a three-game win streak right now, but the Gators are just 4-4 in their last eight. Florida is now 8-4 on the season, 1-0 in the SEC and 5-7 against the spread. The Gators have failed to cover in one in their last seven lined games. Florida is putting up 83.5 points per game this season while allowing 73.8 per contest. Jalen Hudson is putting up 17.4 points per game to lead Florida while Egor Koulechov is adding 14.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest.

Texas A&M is coming off a 79-57 loss at Alabama to snap a four-game win streak. The Aggies are now 11-2 on the season and 5-5 against the spread. A&M is just 1-3 ATS in their last four lined games. A&M is averaging 79.7 points per game on offense while allowing 65.5 per game. DJ Hogg is putting up 14.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while Tyler Davis is adding 13.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest. Hogg is currently suspended and unavailable for tonight’s game.

Bet on Florida vs. Texas A&M

The home team has won six straight meetings in this series, with the Aggies covering in three of the last four encounters with Florida. The Gators are going on the road for the first time this season and that concerns me. Even with a player like Hogg out, I still feel good about a team at home in conference play against a team that has yet to play a true road contest. The public betting is slightly with Texas A&M today and I agree. I like the Aggies to find a way to cover.
