Buddy Boeheim has been suspended for Thursday’s ACC tournament quarterfinal game against Duke after he committed a flagrant act Wednesday in the first half of Syracuse’s 96-57 second-round win over Florida State, Jeff Borzello of ESPN.com reports. Boeheim supplied 14 points over 33 minutes in a blowout win, but he made a costly mistake in the first half, when he appeared to punch Florida State’s Wyatt Wilkes in the stomach. Though he wasn’t assessed a foul for the incident, Boeheim will play the price by sitting out against top-seeded Duke. With Boeheim out of the equation, Symir Torrence will likely be counted on to handle big minutes on the wing for the second game in a row.
Duke Blue Devils DFS Snapshot
Mark Williams accumulated 16 points (8-11 FG) and 13 rebounds across 26 minutes during Saturday’s 94-81 loss to North Carolina. Williams was efficient from the floor and ended the regular season on a strong note, putting up his seventh double-digit scoring contest over his last nine games. The big man also has two double-doubles over his last three appearances, and even though he’s not going to be as important as Paolo Banchero on offense, he still holds a sizable role for the Blue Devils.
