Tennessee vs. Auburn Public Betting Information

Our CBB Public Betting Information page indicates that 53% of public bettors are currently backing Auburn when it comes to the spread. This information is subject to change throughout the day, however, so be sure to check the link so you’re receiving the most up-to-date public betting data.

Tennessee Volunteers Game Notes

Volunteers guard Jordan Gainey is officially listed as questionable to play on Saturday. He’s dealing with flu-like symptoms. Gainey is third on the team in scoring this season with 11.2 points per game. If Gainey can’t go, Tennessee will likely allot more minutes to senior guard Jahmai Mashack.

Tennessee forward Igor Milicic is probable to play this weekend as he works through a lower-body injury. Milicic is fourth on the team in scoring with 10.3 points per game and leads the team in rebounding with 8.4 boards per contest in 2024-25.

Auburn Tigers Game Notes

Tigers superstar forward Johni Broome is questionable for Saturday’s game with an ankle injury. Broome is the Tigers’ best player and one of the best players in the country this season. He’s averaging 17.9 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game while shooting 54.7% from the floor in 2024-25.

Auburn has defeated 2 ranked teams with Broome out of the lineup (Mississippi State and Georgia). The Tigers moved senior forward Chaney Johnson to the starting five for those two contests, and he responded by averaging 9.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game in those matchups.

It’s worth monitoring Broome’s injury status all the way up to game time as his status could swing the line one way or the other.

Tennessee is 9-6-1 ATS against ranked opponents since the start of last season.

The Volunteers are 24-18-1 ATS after a win since the beginning of last season.

Auburn is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall.

Auburn is 3-4 ATS when playing on 4+ days of rest this season.

Tennessee vs. Auburn CBB Prediction:

Tennessee has actually fared well against Auburn in the past few seasons. The Volunteers are 3-1 straight up and 2-2 against the spread in their last 4 matchups with the Tigers. Additionally, Tennessee has played well when their opponent has had more rest than them. The Volunteers are 3-0 ATS when playing with the rest disadvantage this season. What’s more, Tennessee is 8-3 ATS when playing on 2 or 3 days of rest this year. They’ll have 3 days of rest before taking on Auburn on Saturday. In a bit of a contrarian play, I like Tennessee and the points on the road this weekend. The Vols are the pick.

Tennessee vs. Auburn CBB Prediction: TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS +5.5
