Tennessee Volunteers Game Notes

Volunteers forward Igor Milicic Jr. posted a double-double in his team’s 85-81 win over Missouri on Wednesday night. The Charlotte transfer put up 21 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks in 32 minutes. Milicic shot 8 of 10 from the field and 2 of 3 from long range in the victory.

Tennessee guard Zakai Zeigler also played well in his team’s game on Wednesday. The 5’9” senior from Long Island, NY recorded 21 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 made three-pointers. Zeigler is second on the team in scoring this season with 12.7 points per game.

 Oklahoma Sooners Game Notes

Sooners guard Dayton Forsythe was electric off the bench in his team’s 98-70 blowout loss to Auburn on Tuesday night. In 22 minutes of game action, the freshman from Dale, OK logged 13 points and 1 rebound. Forsythe shot 11 of 11 from the foul line in the loss.

Oklahoma forward Jalon Moore was also decent in his team’s game on Tuesday. The Georgia Tech transfer registered 11 points, 1 rebound, and 1 made three-pointer across 33 minutes of playing time. Moore is leading the team in scoring with 17.9 points per game this season.

Tennessee is 4-7 ATS as a road favorite since the start of last season.

The Volunteers are 4-5 ATS in their last 9 games overall.

Oklahoma is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

Oklahoma is 4-2-1 ATS as a home underdog since the start of the 2022 season.

Tennessee vs. Oklahoma CBB Prediction:

Oklahoma is in a good spot here. The Sooners are underdogs at home against the Volunteers on Saturday. Oklahoma has thrived in that scenario since Porter Moser became the head coach in 2021. Since the start of the 2021 season, the Sooners are 7-3-1 ATS as home underdogs and 23-20-1 ATS against ranked opponents. What’s more, in that same time frame, Oklahoma is 14-10 ATS when playing with the rest advantage and 29-25-1 ATS as an underdog.

Tennessee could be looking ahead to their game against Kentucky on Tuesday, and that’s one of the many reasons I doubt the Volunteers will cover this game. I’m taking Oklahoma and the points at home on Saturday afternoon.

Tennessee vs. Oklahoma CBB Prediction: OKLAHOMA SOONERS +5.5
