Texas A&M vs. Tennessee Pick

Can No. 24 Tennessee hold its home court against a struggling Texas A&M squad tonight at 6PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Tennessee is the slim favorite at home in this one, as the Volunteers are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Aggies. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 142 points. Tonight’s game takes place from Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee and will air live on the SEC Network.

Texas A&M has lost its first four games in SEC play, including a 74-73 loss at Kentucky earlier this week. The Aggies are 11-5 on the season, 0-4 in the SEC and 6-7 against the spread. A&M is averaging 77.7 points per game this season while allowing 67.4. Tyler Davis is leading the team with 14.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per game while DJ Hogg is adding 14 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest.

Tennessee is coming off a 92-84 win at Vanderbilt earlier this week for its second straight victory. UT is 11-4 on the season, 2-2 in the SEC and 8-5 against the spread. The Vols are averaging 79.9 points per game on the season while giving up 70.8 per game on defense. Grant Williams is leading Tennessee with 17.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while Admiral Schofield is adding 13.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest.

Bet on Texas A&M vs. Tennessee

The road team has won five of the last six meetings in this series and the Aggies are 3-1-1 against the spread in the last five meetings. A&M is just not looking good in SEC play and I don’t feel great about picking them on the road against a Tennessee team that just beat Kentucky by 11 at home. I think the Vols will be able to expose the issues that the Aggies have been dealing with in conference and pick up a cover. The public betting is slightly with the Vols tonight and I think they cover.

CBB DAILY PREDICTION: TENNESSEE -3.5
