INDIANAPOLIS, IN (AP) – Several thousand fans came out to Hinkle Fieldhouse to honor Butler for making a second straight run to the national championship game.

Those attending Wednesday’s party included Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, Horizon League commissioner Jon LeCrone, university president Bobby Fong. Gov. Mitch Daniels sent a videotaped message for players, coaches and managers.
Coach Brad Stevens turned the event into a re-do of Senior Day because he missed the second half of that game with an eye injury and did not return.
The big question, though, was whether guard Shelvin Mack would return next season or leave for the NBA draft. Mack wouldn’t commit either way, and Stevens says he is in process of collecting that information.
