UCLA Bruins

After losing by 2 points to North Carolina, the Bruins bounced back with a 65-62 win over the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Eric Dailey Jr. led the team with 18 points, making 4 of his 5 three point shots. Skyy Clark flirted with a triple-double, finishing the game with 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists. The team’s leading scorer Tyler Bilodeau struggled for just 7 points on 2 of 10 from the field. UCLA made 50% of their 3 point attempts compared to 29% for the Bulldogs. The Bruins had 9 steals.

Nebraska Cornhuskers

The Cornhuskers are hot right now winning 5 straight games. The latest was a 77-43 victory over the Southern Jaguars. Connor Essegian led the team in scoring dropping 20 off the bench. Brice Williams added another 11 points and had 7 rebounds. The Cornhuskers are 7-0 at home this season. They split their first two Big Ten matchups this season, losing 89-52 at Michigan State and winning 85-68 over Indiana.

Nebraska is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games

The UNDER is 5-1 in Nebraska’s last 6 games

UCLA vs. Nebraska Prediction:

Take UCLA to win in this matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Bruins are one of the best defensive teams in the country, ranking 3rd in opponent points per game, giving up 58.7. Nebraska can be a little loose with the ball, ranking 170th in turnovers per game giving away the ball 12 times per game. Nebraska has played well at home this season but the Bruins have shown they can win on the road, beating an at the time 12th ranked Oregon Ducks team 73-71. UCLA has played some tough teams lately in UNC where they lost by 2 points and Gonzaga where they won by 3. I think they put up another good performance on Saturday and pull out the victory, so the extra point and a half is just a bonus.

UCLA vs. Nebraska Prediction: UCLA +1.5
