The 5-foot-11 senior has seen a slight decrease in utilization lately averaging 6.5 points and four assists on 28.5 minutes per game across UCLA’s last four contests.

Gabe Madsen (lower leg) is making good progress and is expected back at some point this season, Josh Furlong of KSL News Salt Lake City reports. Coach Craig Smith said that he would be shocked if Madsen was able to return this week, but it sounds like the team is targeting a return for their starter at the Pac-12 Tournament. Utah has lost four of six games since Madsen suffered the injury on Jan. 28 against Oregon. He was the team’s second leading-scorer at 11.7 PPG and a big shooting threat from the perimeter. Getting the junior back would be huge for Utah’s chances to steal a bid through the conference tournament.
