UNC a 27-point favorite, looking for 8th straight win over Boston College

UNC looking for 8 straight vs BC

No. 2 North Carolina looks to stay unbeaten in ACC play when it hosts Boston College, who hasn’t won in conference, today at 4PM ET on ESPN2.

View Tonight’s College Basketball Odds

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, North Carolina is the overwhelming favorite at home, as the Tar Heels are getting odds of -27 points against Boston College today. The over/under total has yet to be set.

The Tar Heels are 18-2 on the season and 7-0 in the ACC, though they are just 8-11-1 against the spread this season, often times due to some poor shooting. Though they shoot 48.2 percent as a team, they are just 316th nationally in 3-point shooting at 30.6 percent. That may not be an issue today against Boston College (7-13, 0-7 ACC), which is allowing opponents to shoot 36.2 percent from the arc and scoring just 63 points per game on offense, which ranks 337th in the country.

The Eagles are also just 4-10-1 against the spread this season, and making matters worse, North Carolina has dominated the recent series, winning seven straight over BC. The Tar Heels are 4-3 against the spread in those games, with all three BC covers being a double-digit spread. However, UNC is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 against a losing team while Boston College has failed to cover in seven straight road games.
