UNC struggling to cover as it hosts Pittsburgh in ACC play on Sunday

UNC poor at betting window

No. 9 North Carolina may be winning games, but the Heels aren’t covering often. Can they buck that trend today when they host Pittsburgh at 1PM ET?

View Tonight’s College Basketball Odds

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, North Carolina is the clear favorite at home, as the Tar Heels are getting odds of -10 points against Pittsburgh. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 157 points.

The Tar Heels (20-4) may be atop the ACC right now at 92, but they aren’t exactly hitting their peak right now. UNC has won just one of its last three games and they are 1-6 against the spread in their last 7 games. The entire ACC slate has been a struggle for the Heels in regards to covering, as they are just 3-8 ATS in conference play, which is the worst betting record in the conference.

Pittsburgh (17-6) is three games behind UNC in the ACC at 6-5 and the Panthers have lost their last two games. The Panthers have covered the spread in all five games following a loss this season and they face a team that they have beaten and covered against in their last two meetings.
