Gonzaga adds USC’s Wesley
SPOKANE, WA (TheSpread) – USC’s loss will be Gonzaga’s gain as guard Byron Wesley is transferring from the Trojans to the Bulldogs for next season.
ESPN.com’s Jeff Goodman reported Sunday that Wesley is leaving USC for his final season of eligibility and using it at Gonzaga, where he will be eligible to play right away.
Wesley led USC in scoring at 17.8 points per game, and also in rebounds, averaging 6.4 per game last season. The Trojans struggled last season to an 11-21 record overall and 2-16 mark in the Pac-12 under first-year coach Andy Enfield.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Gonzaga has 40/1 odds to win the NCAA Tournament in 2015. Oddsmakers see Kentucky as the favorite to win it all next season, with 5/1 odds. Duke is the next favorite at 10/1.
