Shungu and Ryan Davis led the way for Vermont once again in what turned out to be a rout of UMBC. Shungu is now putting up 16.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.2 steals why shooting over 41 percent from behind the arc. He will need to have another big game on Thursday against Arkansas to help Vermont pull of the upset.

Au’Diese Toney recorded 22 points (6-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists across 38 minutes during Friday’s 79-67 win over LSU. Toney missed the game versus Tennessee with an ankle injury and was thought that he may be limited versus LSU but he showed no signs of limitations. Toney had one of his best game of the season and is playing great basketball just in time for the big dance.
