Njoku hasn’t appeared since Dec. 10, and there have been no updates on his return. Head coach Kyle Neptune was asked if he expects Njoku to return this season, to which he responded, “we’ll see”. The 6-foot-9 sophomore appeared in four games this season, logging 0.5 rebounds on 2.3 minutes per game.

Jared Bynum produced nine points (2-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and 10 assists in 35 minutes during Saturday’s 73-68 loss to St. John’s. Bynum missed four games in January with an abdominal injury, and coach Ed Cooley has been conservative with his usage since his return. Saturday marked his first start since Jan. 4, and while the senior had a rough shooting day, he did record a season-high 10 assists. Bynum leads the Friars with 4.6 assists per contest, which currently represents the strongest mark of his four-year collegiate career.
