Both the side and the total have moved ahead of tonight’s NCAA National Championship Game between North Carolina and Villanova.
When the line for tonight’s 9:19PM ET tip-off was released, the Tar Heels opened as 2-point favorites over the Wildcats. The spread then moved to UNC -2.5 but according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Tar Heels are back down to being 2-point favorites for tonight’s game.

As for the total, the number opened at 151 but has been bet all the way down to 149 as bettors must be expecting the opposite from what happened in the Final Four to occur tonight. That’s to say that Villanova and UNC won’t shoot the lights out like they did against Oklahoma and Syracuse, respectively, and the total will stay somewhat in check.
That said, the over is 10-2 in the Wildcats’ last 12 games coming off a win and is 11-3 in their last 14 games overall. The over is also 6-1 in the Tar Heels’ last seven NCAA tournament games and has cashed in four of their last five games overall so ‘under’ bettors be careful.

While ‘Nova does contest every shot of its opponents, everyone saw what they’re capable of offensively versus the Sooners. The Tar Heels have one of the most dangerous front courts in basketball so points might not be at a premium tonight in Houston.
