Can Virginia win on the road?
No. 4 Virginia looks to build off a big win over UNC when it hits the road to face Clemson tonight at 7PM ET on ESPNU.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Virginia is favored on the road tonight, as the Cavaliers are getting odds of -5 points against Clemson. The over/under total for the game has been set at 125.5 points.
Virginia is 22-6 overall, 11-5 in the ACC, 4-6 on the road and 13-13 against the spread. Clemson is 16-12 overall, 9-7 in the ACC, 13-3 at home and 14-10 against the spread. Virginia has won four straight in this series, including a 69-62 win at home on Jan. 19. The Cavaliers are 2-1-1 against the spread in the last four meetings as well.

It’s not often that picking a game is as cut and dry as home and away, but both teams have clear trends being at home and away. Virginia is just 3-7 against the spread on the road this season and the Cavs have lost their last two road games. Clemson has been very strong at home, going 8-4 against the spread. The Tigers are also 11-5 ATS in ACC play, which is the second-best record in the conference. Look for Clemson to keep things close with Virginia tonight.
