Washington Huskies Game Notes

Huskies center Franck Kepnang will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. The 6’11” senior from Cameroon last played on December 17th and was averaging 8.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game on the season.

Washington forward Keion Brooks Jr. was sensational in his team’s 84-82 overtime road win against Arizona State on Thursday night. In that game, the 6’7” senior from Fort Wayne, Indiana logged 21 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal. Brooks leads the Pac-12 in scoring this season with 21.2 points per game.

Arizona Wildcats Game Notes

Arizona guard Caleb Love did all he could against Washington State on Thursday, but it wasn’t enough as the Wildcats fell to the Cougars at home 77-74. Love generated 27 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 4 made three-pointers, and 2 steals to round out his stat line.

Wildcats center Oumar Ballo was also solid in his team’s loss on Thursday night. The 7-foot senior from Mali logged 16 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocked shots, and an assist in the loss. Ballo is second on the club in scoring with 13.2 points per game on the campaign.

Washington is 4-7 ATS when playing on 1 day of rest since the start of last season.

The Huskies are 5-9 ATS after a win this season.

Arizona is 4-1 ATS after a loss this season.

Arizona is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

Washington vs. Arizona CBB Prediction:

This has been a tough year for Washington, and it’s about to get tougher on Saturday. The Huskies are in the middle of the “Arizona Swing” road trip where they play at Arizona State on Thursday and at Arizona on Saturday. The Huskies toppled the Sun Devils in Tempe on Thursday night, but they needed overtime to do it. Washington will likely be worn out for this difficult game at the McKale Center this weekend.

Arizona is one of the best teams in the nation both straight up and against the spread this season. The Wildcats are 4-1 ATS when playing on 1 day of rest this year, and they fell to a tournament-bound Washington State team at home on Thursday night 77-74. Arizona is also 10-4 ATS at home and 15-9 ATS as a favorite in 2023-24. The Wildcats have beaten the Huskies 7 straight times and Arizona is 4-3 ATS in that same span. I like Arizona to win this one in convincing fashion at home on Saturday afternoon.

Washington vs. Arizona CBB Prediction: ARIZONA WILDCATS -15.5
