Badgers vs. Wolverines Prediction

Badgers down Scarlet Knights

Wisconsin earned a 79-71 home win Sunday afternoon over Rutgers to improve to 17-10 overall and 10-6 in the Big Ten Conference. The Badgers led 39-26 at halftime and held off a Scarlet Knights rally after the break. Micah Potter led Wisconsin with 18 points off the bench on 6-of-8 shooting including 4-of-5 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also pulled down nine rebounds. Nate Reuvers accounted for 17 points in 23 minutes of action. Brevin Pritzl had 17 points and four boards. Brad Davison added 15 points and three caroms.

Wolverines get past Boilermakers

Michigan recorded a 71-63 road win Saturday afternoon at Purdue to move to 18-9 overall and 9-7 in conference play. The Wolverines raced out to a 36-21 halftime advantage en route to the triumph. Franz Wagner paced U-M with 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting including 3-of-5 from 3-point distance plus 1-of-2 at the charity stripe. He also registered five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Isaiah Livers tallied 19 points and six boards. Jon Teske added 11 points, five rebounds and four dimes.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Wisconsin

The Badgers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games overall. Wisconsin is 7-2 ATS in its last nine Thursday games.

Michigan

The Wolverines are 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall. The favorite is 5-15 ATS in the last 20 meetings.

Prediction:

Both teams have been playing well, but the Badgers recently snapped a four-game road losing skid and it came against a mediocre Nebraska squad. I’m not ready to trust Wisconsin away from home against a red-hot Michigan squad. The Wolverines have won all five games during their current streak by at least eight points. I’m banking on that becoming six straight decisive wins tonight.
