AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -Ben Wallace’s back spasms flared up, forcing the Cleveland Cavaliers forward to leave Saturday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons.
Wallace, who returned to the lineup after missing two-plus games, intentionally fouled Detroit’s Richard Hamilton to stop the game early in the third quarter after appearing to hurt his back when Antonio McDyess blocked his shot.
The former Piston sat down, then was later helped to the locker room. He had six points, five rebounds and two blocks in his first game at The Palace since Chicago traded him to the Cavs.
