PROVO, Utah (AP) -Brigham Young basketball coach Dave Rose has agreed to a contract extension that runs through the 2010-11 season.
The Cougars won the Mountain West Conference regular-season title last season and have won at least 20 games in each of the two seasons since Rose was promoted.
“Dave and his staff are establishing a strong foundation for BYU basketball now and into the future,” BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe said in a statement Monday.
Terms of the deal were not released.
BYU is 45-18 under Rose, including last season’s 25-9 campaign. BYU went 13-3 in the Mountain West, which honored Rose as coach of the year for the second straight season.
Rose was promoted from assistant after Steve Cleveland left for Fresno State in 2005.
